MR. Burris Is Dismissed.
Chicago pol Roland Burris was appointed to fill President Obama's vacated seat by former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.
Blagojevich was impeached and removed from office for putting that senate seat up for sale, among other things quite unbecoming for a state governor.
Burris is now busted for perjury for being involved in fund-raising activities for Blagojevich in an apparent quid pro quo for the seat after swearing under oath something to the effect of: "I never saw that white boy in my life after I raised money for him in June of last year."
"I've done nothing wrong," he insists, meaning that he tried to raise money for him last October, but couldn't, and so didn't.
We need to stop the "rush to judgment!" he cried, decrying what he calls "misinformation."
That's funny. That's pretty much what Blagojevich is still saying.
And pretty much what this disbarred perjurer insisted:
In other words, "Absolutely 100% Not Guilty, Your Honor!"
Liberals.
