Thuggery

In the commentary section of the last post, anonymous complained:

"Unfortunately, Palin has turned out to attract the worst element of the GOP."

Give me a break, anon. You had isolated instances of rowdy cheerleaders shouting stuff about the opposition that you hear in any sports arena (and often from parents at Little League games).

You never hear this kind of hateful crap from any McCain/Palin supporter (about Muslims and the Koran, for example):

"Are Christians the sickest pack of slime on the planet or what?Just think. They used to be able to burn you for saying that...now, we just shove it down their throats."
...

"yas, the holy bible...foulest piece of pornographic shit on the planet."

And you never hear this kind thuggery:

"This election is about the importance of not just winning, but breaking their backs and crushing their spirits."
...

"This isn't about winning. It's about destroying the conservative movement, and their dangerous incompetence has given us an historic opportunity to deliver a killing blow. Leave everything on the roa" (sic)

Those are quotes from Evan Sayet's blog, http://sayetright.blogspot.com/ (a conservative in the lion's den of LA.)

And it's not an anomalous, isolated voice, but the esprit de corps from the far-left base of Obama supporters.

They're Nazis.

The Democrats Dunnit.

David Asman hosted an excellent, comprehensive and truly fair and balanced documentary the other night on Foxnews Special called "Saving Our Economy."

There is a campaign underway right now from the Left that's trying to pull blame away from Fannie Mae, Countrywide, other guilty institutions, and the significance of subprime lending itself (in relation to the scale of the economic breakdown) and place it on other things (like "Republican deregulation," which is nonsense, despite the frenetic posting of economic Kool Aid from "experts" who are devoid of non-partisan objectivity).

It is an organized campaign from the Left to deflect and sow confusion (an environment in which they thrive).

Ignore them. They're liars. "Saving Our Economy" is the best summation, with links to it in six parts below (embedding codes were available, but for some reason could not be cut & pasted in their entirety).

Many questions are answered here-- as well as my own regarding McCain's reluctance to go there when debating Obama, even when asked point-blank about causes: McCain himself received contributions from Fannie Mae (though a lot less than Obama).

Nevertheless, it's clear what happened.

If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend that you take the time to watch all six segments of the special.
