Happy Independence Day indeed!

Reflecting our lefty trolls here, they would think that there is not that much to celebrate, eh? Freedom of thought is dangerous to them. Freedom to live out lives as we see fit is dangerous to them. And yet, those exact freedoms that they enjoy to say what they like and do as they please are a result of the ideals of the original founders of this nation.

Ironic, Yes.

Sad, yes.

Predictable, oh so very much predictable.

I have been told that I cannot support troops when I have not been there myself, but having close relatives does not count. I have been told that when these lefties do not serve it does not matter.

I say that the love of this country does not depend on the opinion of some shivering coward in their apartment telling me that love of country is the same thing as whether or not I like shellfish or not.

I do not need a lecture on what the meaning of patriotism is or is not. I know what it is, and my children know what it is. Thank you very much Mr. Obama, but that was a lost argument.

Just for the record... The dim-witted farmer did a ten year hitch in the USNR. So did the farmer's elder brother. The farmer's father did 25 in the USAF, and the farmers uncle died on the beach at Iwo Jima.

THAT is patriotism. Sitting on your ass bitching that your country doesn't give you free medical care is NOT.

Happy belated 4th, John. I was not around much to put in my comments.

FJ, if these trolls had ONE ounce of credibility it was lost when they diss'd you on your service to this country. The reserves get called up to active duty more times than many of them would care to know.

My grandpa served in the US Army Air during WWII...though he did not get sent to Europe of Asia, he was NO LESS a hero. He protected our borders from those who would try to reach them from afar.

That's right. Before we went in. And its success is driving them insane.

Let them vent, but ignore them. Consider their posts dogshit on the ground and walk around it. The Kool Aid will be deleted. The rest are rants and raves that speak for themselves.

Ignore them.

The left LOVES making up lies about lying liars, and they're the biggest lying liars in town.

There have been cases where recruiters deceived an enlistee, but they are few and far between.

I knew EXACTLY what to expect when I went in. Nothing was concealed from me. What would happen were I to fail to meet the established standards was ALWAYS in the back of my mind. It's what keeps you from quitting, loser.

10:19 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

And anybody who claims that today's enlistee's are "stupid" and "end up in Iwrak", is a fool AND a LIAR.

from a July 2 Pentagon brief..

it's a good investment to spend for those in math-verbal aptitude, because they are so much more productive. Yes, but they're more expensive, the Congress would note. To which we said, fine, we've looked at that and we've compared the increased cost of high math-verbal aptitude, to recruit them, versus the productivity gains that you achieve, with the National Academy of Science.

And when we blend those factors in a model, we could tell you that the optimum mix, for any service at that time, was in the upper 60-percent range. So that would tell us that we'd want to have at least 60 percent of recruits drawn from the top half in math-and- verbal aptitude. And if we did, it would be a cost-effective force mix.

Now, that's a hat trick for an employer to pull off, because that's a lot of research and a lot of parameters. But that is what the research told us. We reported to the Congress. And since 1994, the department has held to the following imperatives.

First, that recruits, 90 percent must be high school diploma grad. We grant certain exceptions for pilot tests, if we think we have a group of GEDs and we're testing a hypothesis of whether that group, of people with a GED, would retain like a high school diploma grad.

But as a rule, 90 percent, 60 percent top-half aptitude, 4 percent from the bottom third. If we looked at the bottom third, that 4 percent is a remarkable achievement because at the start of the AVF, 20 percent of recruits were from the bottom third in math-verbal aptitude.

Because of a mistake in norming the test we use in the 1970s, in '79 and '80, over half of the military recruits in DOD were drawn from the bottom third aptitude. When we renormed the test, that's what it told us. We didn't know we had taken in quite so many.

But you compare that, over half, with today's standard, of a ceiling of 4 percent, and you begin to get an appreciation.

Another Democrat gets caught taking a sweetheart mortgage, and the Democrat, his bank and the left again insist: Nothing to see here. Only this time, the Democrat is presidential nominee Barack Obama, who scant months after his election to the Senate secured with his wife a $1.32 million mortgage, discounted by three-eighths of a point, from Northern Trust Bank of Illinois.

The trolls had a ready supply of Republican criminals (lumped together with misdemeanors, unindicted allegations, and with embarrassing situations that were non-crimes that were all inflated with sensational language) because it has been an organized, Democratic strategy to tar the GOP as "The Party of Corruption."

Meanwhile, mum on the Democrats because a sympathetic media is in cahoots with the strategy.

Recall all the noise that was made about Alaskan Republicans ("The Largest State of the Union").

They must scream loud because Alaska is actually one of the tiniest states in term of population and to deflect attention away from stuff like this happening in tiny states with large populations and political clout:

"Media Avoid Linking Democratic Party With NJ Scandals
By Kevin Mooney
CNSNews.com Staff Writer
September 10, 2007

(CNSNews.com) - New Jersey = Corruption. That is the conclusion when reading news stories about the latest round of criminal charges involving public officials in the Garden State, according to political scientists and media analysts.

However, the political scandals that continue to beset New Jersey have not translated into negative press coverage for the Democratic Party, which has been disproportionately affected by the corruption charges and arrests.

A criminal probe targeting elected officials operating at most levels of government in New Jersey resulted in the arrest of 11 public officials and one private citizen last week. Only one Republican was ensnared in the corruption investigation organized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The other 10 elected officials were all Democrats, and the private citizen was active with the Democratic Party.

All 12 suspects have been charged with taking cash payments in exchange for influencing the distribution of public contracts, according to the criminal complaints. As part of the investigation, the FBI created an undercover insurance brokerage firm to offer bribes through undercover agents. The suspects are accused of accepting payments ranging from $3,500 to $32,000.

Although the scandal has been widely reported, a Nexis search indicates the establishment media have been reticent so far to link the alleged criminal infractions with the Democratic Party.

The Nexis search showed more than 30 media citations using innocuous phrases such as "public officials" instead of 'Democratic Party officials' or a similar label."

Recall all the noise that was made about bit GOP players involved in homosexual shenanigans.

They still don't add up to the size of the McGreevey scandal.

Unless, of course, you raise the decibel level on the others.

"This may be a good year, after all, if people have finally thrown the myths of so-called conservatism out the door...merely laughing at the pathetic attempt to tar Obama with this silliness."

Really.

It seems Obama tarred himself with "the myths of so-called conservatism":

Suddenly, he's a states rights, pro-NRA, pro-Capital Punishment, anti-gay-marriage, and Let's-Wait-And-See on Iraq kinda guy.

And don't forget his toughguy talk about his unilateral, shoot-first-talk-later invasion of Pakistan (which is much closer to an ally than Saddam's Iraq ever was).

And a politician who plays the system and gets favorable treatment when landing a sweetheart Real Estate deal while the average joe gets screwed (even though he and his wife were--and still are-- bringing in 6 digits in an economy that is supposedly racist and wrecked).

And his speeches shore sound like Dubya's ta me, pa.

What? He's lying? But that's okay, because, you know, "everyone does it"?

Is that it?

Okay, but why does he have to lie if "conservatism is out the door"?

And why hasn't he ever, ever come out and proudly announced: "I'm a liberal!"?

Huffington's crowd knows what I'm talking about.

I think you do, too.

Nice sexual attack. Demonstrating once again that you have the utmost respect for the female gender.

Is that really the best that you can do?

I thought that the Democratic Congress was going to solve all of our ills?

They were going to take care of us, remember? They were going to make sure that gas prices didn't increase. They were going to heal the ills of the Bush Presidency, isn't that right? Here we have had Pelosi and Reid in charge for quite a while now.

They have decided to sue OPEC. They opposed keeping the Bush tax cuts. They have folded on just about everything and they stand for Jack Shit. Is it any wonder that the american populace holds them in such low esteem?

Sad "avuncular" (another bold name that means nothing): "Oh, I'm the winner, by the way..."

bwahahahahahha

Winner of what?

Biggest Jackass? Weakest gene pool? Loudest mouth with nothing behind it? How about the largest lefty mouthpiece born without a brain?

You should be ashamed of yourself, but you never got beyond potty training, so shame is evidently you do not comprehend. Let me sum it up for you, "winner."

I am not a Republican, as you well know, but the most vicious attacks do not come from your party. As a result I still have a good deal of respect for the party that you argue for.
