ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man who was beaten by employees of a store he was trying to rob is now suing.

Police say Dana Buckman entered the AutoZone in Rochester, New York, last July, brandished a semi-automatic pistol and demanded cash.

That's when employees Eli Crespo and Jerry Vega beat him with a pipe and held Buckman at bay with his own gun.

Buckman escaped when they retreated into the store to call 911, but he was arrested a week later. He pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and was sentenced to 18 years in prison as a repeat violent felon.

Now Buckman is suing the auto parts store and the two employees who beat him, claiming they committed assault and battery and intentionally inflicted emotional distress.

The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle is reporting that Buckman’s lawyer is some guy named Phillip R. Hurwitz. I’m considering bringing a suit against both of them for causing me pain and suffering for knowing that there are people this idiotic.

Maybe a defamation of character suit, too. They’re sullying the already tarnished reputation of the human race.

You bet it is the product of liberalism. When I was in England visiting an american friend there, I had a review of english law, and, frankly, it was hard to believe what I witnessed. They not only have no right to bear arms in defense, they have no property rights at all.

There was a gentleman there that had his placed robbed twice, by the same people, at the same time of night, on the same weekday. The third time, he had had enough. Waiting with an illegal shotgun, on the third attempt he proceeded to shoot the first intruder and winged the second. They were armed.

Guess who went to jail?

Yep, the poor sap that was trying to preserve his property and safety.

They have *sqatters rights* laws that beggar belief. They recently passed more laws called the "Right of Access" law that maintains that anybody, at any time, can cross "private" property and tear up a farmers crops with no consequence. As a result, farmers that wish to preserve their livelyhood from being trampled are forced to spend money on making trails that are clearly marked.

Try that in Texas.

LOL!

Don't piss off conservatives.

Their righteous wrath will put the Fear of God into anyone.

Phelonius:

"(The English) not only have no right to bear arms in defense, they have no property rights at all."

!!!

That explains a lot.

I think Blair, though, has understood the profound folly of Euro liberalism--as an insider--and has seen the same Light as Churchill and Thatcher.

I hope it's not too late.

I found a quote in the newspaper today ya'll might find interesting.

"A good definition of a conservative is 'a flaming liberal with a teenage daughhter'"

Does that imply that once their daughters start dating, they start sounding conservative?

Perhaps...if they don't tell them to be sure to carry condoms in their purse "just in case."

Bargholtz and Nanc, you would beat a robber???

Why do that when the bandit might sting you in civil court?

It is more fun to rob the bandit once s/he is cornered. Then call 911 to turn in the burglar for robbery is the best (giving the proceeds to charity, of course)

The cops will never believe* the criminal when sh/e tells the responding officer that s/he is half naked and without shoes because the property owner (you) stole those articles of clothing.

* if you are a treacherous person and you want to destroy any remaining credibility of the bandit you have already reverse robbed, splash some liquor, [preferably tequila] on the cornered bandit well ahead of the arrival of the police.
