The Change

Not too long ago, Candidate Obama ran on a platform of "Hope & Change" that denounced the Bush War on Terror protocols that kept us safe for seven years, including the Patriot Act, phone taps and intercepts, renditioning, military tribunals, Predator drone attacks, offensive campaigns in Afghanistan, and the Bush-Petraeus timetable for Iraq.

All of those were smeared by his antiwar base of support as "criminal," "un-Constitutional," "dictatorial," "murderous," part of an imperial, "Neocon"/Zionist agenda, and/or executed for the purpose of seizing the Iraqi oil wells and/or for personally exacting revenge for the 1993 assassination attempt on Poppy Bush 41, and, of course, "Impeachable."

But a President Obama has sagely--and shamelessly--decided that all of that--the wiretapping, intercepting, renditioning, military tribunals, Predator drone attacks, offensive campaigns in Afghanistan, and the Bush-Petraeus timetable for Iraq--are--"To be perfectly clear," and "Make no mistake about it"--suddenly the right things to do.

And yes, as he declared last week, we are, in fact, at war. A real war. With terrorists.

What happened?

What about "Change"?

Here's what happened, and here's The Change:

Why?

Here's why:

Indeed.

And ouch. That's gotta hurt.

That's what they say is the outcome of bad karma. What goes around, comes around. The piper must be paid. The devil must get his due.

And after eight years of the accumulation of bad karma, and Obama willfully using it all for his benefit, benefitting by the vicious attacks on an honorable man, and becoming empowered primarily by lies and hate cloaked in the euphemisms of Hope & Change, his unapologetic adoption--and even expansion-- of the very policies that he was elected to quickly reverse and undo--as promised--is bad enough (not for the country, of course, but for his own credibility and of his party's), but is just a warm up for what lies ahead.

Just watch karma turn up the heat in Massachusetts tomorrow.
