Nation's Capital gets one foot of snow.

2nd biggest snowstorm in the history of NYC.

Update: Anywhere from 8 inches to 21 inches of snow was dumped in the Washington D.C.-Baltimore area.

NYC gets 26.9 inches, most since record-keeping started in 1869.
