i hate that photo and the stills they did of joe theisman's leg snapping backwards...i'm queasy now...
Ow.
Whoa, I just noticed the tatoo of Red Chinese Chairman Mao on Tyson's bicep...
That Mao's redder than a bottle of Heinz ketchup.
But, you have to give MT credit.
He just couldn't lose.
He literally tore off a section of that poor man’s ear.
There is only one word that describes the essence of MT’s ear biting:
Determination.
Yes. Whatever it takes.
P.S. I love Evander. :)
I think "Muslim Mike" just read too much of you-know-what. :)
He did have a style of "terrorizing" his opponents after all, didn't he?
BTW--I hope you guys understtod the reference "Whatever it takes?"
Read the Malcolm X quote from CVs.M Part II.
jeffb,
Don't threaten me again.
You forget that that Samuel Colt made us equal.
That ear biting was quality entertainment, and you know it.
DOUGLASS!
"You forget that that Samuel Colt made us equal."
So, in the midst of a verbal free-for-all, you "remind" someone that you carry a gun, Douglass?
And you think biting off part of an opponent's ear--twice-- is "good quality entertainment" for a regulation boxing bout?
I can imagine the conniptions going up if Bargholz said, "And by the way, I pack, so don't piss me off," or "Holyfield should have bit his nose off and disfugured him! Now THAT would be entertaining!"
A bite to the nose would have really taken the match to the next level.
If Holyfield had only bitten off the Mao tattoo!!!!
I would have fainted.
Anyways, it was entertaining to me in the same way hockey fights entertain me.
Also, I don't take kindly to threats.
I was reminding jeffb that it's not a good idea for ANYONE (that includes me) to threaten people in a country with 191 million guns in the hands of the people.
Holyfield is too good for that.
He's a Christian. :)
Look at his face.
The man's a fighter, a warrior, but he radiates Benevolence.
